Favorite Toy

Lucy's first birthday is fast approaching and I had her pictures done at Penney's. When I made the appointment they told me to bring a favorite toy or something from home to personalize the picture. Lucy has been terribly attached to this empty coke bottle for several days. You'll just have to wait to see if it's the toy I brought to the photo shoot!

Helping with Chores

Lucy is on an undo, unpack, disorganize kick. She spends hours pulling all the books off her bookshelf and all the toys out of her basket. I suppose I should have seen it coming when I left her for a moment with some laundry.



She was oh so pleased with herself, unpacking the entire basket of laundry, item by item.

Why didn't I think of that?

All those months that we had such a hard time getting Lucy to drink anything and all we needed to do was give her the faucet.

Who knew?

Happy Wedding Happy 4th

Our wonderful babysitter Kim got married this morning to her sweetheart Dean, and Lucy and I were honored to attend. This was Lucy's first wedding. Their ceremony was in the house they just bought in Brewer and was very small. Most of the guests included Kimmie's charges and their families.

This is great progress here that I passed Lucy off to Kim and she didn't even scream like she does every morning I drop her off.

Lucy had fun with the paper goods at the party, never mind the purse-load of toys I brought her.

Lucy and her friend Rozzy, who is one year older than she is. This is actually one of Rozzy's old dresses.

Lucy and Alyssa. I found out that Alyssa's family had a camp on Ambejejus we figure about 1/2 mile from our camp. Small world! We're going to try and visit if we're ever up there at the same time.
