Going to Grandma & Bubba's

So excited to see her grandparents, Lucy hopped right into the car and tried to drive.

You know you're loved when ...

I get flowers, bouquets of flowers, really, and often have to pick them myself to receive them but oh well. I'm a very lucky mommy.

Sunny Saturday / Big Climber

Lucy & I met our friend Kayla in the park last Saturday, an absolutely beautiful spring day. I was amazed at what a big girl Lucy was on the playground. This was our first experience as a real participant in the Broadway Park major league, and my girl had no problems with equipment use (mechanical) or equipment use (personal). There was not a kid in the park that got in her way, and if they did that kid knew Lucy was trying to (or thinking about trying to) climb/use/play with whatever was not going to be shared.

In addition to all the fun we had climbing, sliding, and intimidating 7-year-old boys, Lucy also found time to pick some flowers for Kayla, whose name she had a hard time with. It ended up in sort of a K-cluck, good "Kay" sound with the chicken tongue click at the end.

I'd take a day like this any day.
